CHYK is the global youth wing of Chinmaya Mission. Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) Toronto is a member of Chinmaya Mission in association with CHYK West and CHYK Global.

Motto: Harnessing Youth Potential through Dynamic Spirituality

Mission Statement: To empower youth with a holistic vision and value of life, enabling them to build their own future and that of the world around them.

What started in 1975 as a small youth forum in Bangalore has now evolved into a global, dynamic, organized body that promotes personal spiritual unfoldment, varying social services, and integrated leadership skills. Spanning over 120 cities on four continents, CHYK has helped thousands of youth transform themselves and their world on multifarious levels.

CHYK is comprised of university students and young professionals, ages 18-35, dedicated to the pursuit of personal and societal growth. We strive to unite young adults by providing a forum to explore, discuss, and practice Vedanta while strengthening their lives in every endeavor. CHYK takes this ancient philosophy and makes it relevant to the youth of modern times, helping them realize how to unleash and channel the limitless potential within and find success in the game of life.

The CHYK Toronto program is diverse and dynamic and includes a variety of activities such as discussion groups, other classes/groups (yoga, Sanskrit, etc.), workshops and retreats, community service (seva) projects, social events and much much more.
